It happened around 9:40 p.m. on the 600 block of North Grant Street in the city's 6th Ward, police said. Officers arrived to find the unidentified victim suffering from "non-life threatening injury," they wrote.
The victim was treated at an area hospital, police added.
No arrests were reported but authorities said the shooting remains under investigation. There is "no physical danger to the community at this time," the department said.
